The 2024 Guangxi Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Finals Concluded Successfully


After intense competition, Guilin Zhonghaolichuang Electromechanical Equipment Co., Ltd.'s project “New Passenger Car Radial Tire Carcass Cutting Machine” and Guilin Lidezhixing Semiconductor Co., Ltd.'s project “Research, Development, and Industrialization of Fully Automatic AOI Film Alignment and Sorting Equipment” claimed the top honors in the Growth Group and Startup Group, respectively.


At the finals ceremony, awards were presented to 20 winning enterprises, 16 outstanding organizing units, and representatives of 60 Guangxi Excellence Award-winning companies. Additionally, 31 enterprises from our region successfully advanced to the national finals, representing Guangxi in the competition for the nation's highest honors.

On October 22, the 13th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Guangxi Regional Finals and the 2024 Guangxi Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Finals (hereinafter referred to as the Finals) concluded in Nanning. Hosted by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Department of Science and Technology, co-organized by the Guangxi ASEAN Technology Transfer Center and Guangxi Beide Park Management Service Co., Ltd., and supported by municipal science and technology bureaus and high-tech industrial development zone management committees across the region, the event featured 20 elite enterprises from Guangxi's innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem competing in a final showdown. As a key platform for innovation and entrepreneurship in Guangxi, the Guangxi Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition has now held 10 editions, attracting over 10,000 enterprises and teams to participate. It has become a flagship event in Guangxi's innovation and entrepreneurship sector.


This year's competition, themed “Gathering Through Innovation, Embracing the Future Together,” launched in June and attracted 997 enterprises from across the region. After 14 municipal-level competitions and four industry-specific semi-finals, 20 enterprises were selected for the finals.


Science and technology departments across cities, districts, and counties, along with high-tech zones and incubators, actively hosted local and industry-specific preliminary rounds. They organized comprehensive pre-competition support through both online and offline activities, including training workshops and one-on-one project refinement sessions. Over 30 pre-competition training sessions were conducted, serving more than 21,000 enterprises, effectively enhancing the quality and capabilities of participating companies and teams.

The projects shortlisted for this finals cover a wide range of fields, feature high technological content, and possess significant growth potential. They include a number of locally cultivated entries in emerging sectors such as next-generation information technology, high-end equipment manufacturing, new materials, biopharmaceuticals, new energy, new energy vehicles, and energy conservation and environmental protection. Guangxi's innovation and entrepreneurship elites took turns showcasing their talents, demonstrating the province's strength in innovation and entrepreneurship to all sectors of society.

The finals adopted a “live presentation and immediate scoring” format. A panel of nine heavyweight industry experts and investors from across the country evaluated the participating companies' projects from multiple dimensions—including technology, market potential, team capabilities, and financial viability—to uncover their strengths and growth potential.

Over 400 attendees watched the finals in person, including representatives from district-level units, the Autonomous Region Department of Science and Technology and its affiliated units, municipal science and technology bureaus, science and technology management departments of high-tech zone administrative committees, science and technology incubators, maker spaces, and parks, investment and financing institutions, universities and research institutes, as well as finalists, winning enterprises, and outstanding organizing units.
